Eventually, all winemakers gravitate towards Burgundy and its grapes. Such was the case with Jayson Pahlmeyer of the eponymous Napa estate. He purchased the Wayfarer Estae in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA in the late 90s (before that appellation was recognized!). Brisk coastal Chardonnay with weight and a refreshing lemon peel quality.
