Cour-Cheverny is the only appellation anywhere in the world to permit the rare grape Romorantin. The Gendrier family has been farming biodynamically in the Sologne forests bordering the Loir river (yes, sans e) in the broader Loire Valley. Beeswaxy, citrusy, and rich, everything about this wine has the dial turned up- acid, texture, and intensity, not to mention deliciousness.
