Oak Knoll Chardonnay farmed by Steve Matthiasson and made by father and son team Daniel and Sam Baron. Dan made wine at Dominus and Silver Oak (and 1982 Pétrus…) for about 4 decades before founding Complant with his offspring, who caught the Burgundy bug early. They do everything together, but Sam takes more control of the Pinot and Chardonnay while Dan handles the Cabernet. He also makes coffee mugs and ramekins for Compline Restaurant in his spare time.
