Burgundy's entrée red wine—a blend of 1/3 Pinot Noir and 2/3 Gamay. Back in the day, up through the advent of AOC law in the 1930s, there was a lot more Gamay in the Côte d'Or than anyone cares to admit, and field blends of this sort were likely more common than not. Now it's an uncommon AOC wine, here made by one of the great domaines of Burgundy.
