Bouzy is ground zero in Champagne for the production of quality Pinot Noir, and some of our favorite names are based here- André Clouet, Paul Bara, Jean Vesselle, Benoît Lahaye, Pierre Paillard. Add to that list the Brice house, whose base-level Héritage line is both affordable and tasty. There’s a lot of blasé Champagne at this price point (actually at every price point), but this is focused, with a linear perlage and pronounced autolytic character. On the leaner end.
