Steinmetz und Hermann is a collaboration between Stephan Steinmetz of Weingut Günther Steinmetz and Christian Hermann of Dr. Hermann, both well-respected producers in the middle Mosel. Their project developed when one wanted to access the vineyards of the other, and now they make a few different wines borrowing from each other’s resources. The power of working together reflects the nature of Kabinett Riesling perfectly- acid and sugar working together to create a sum greater than its parts. Waves of lush tropical and citrus fruit race to the forefront of the Wintricher Geierslay, followed by a driving knife of acidity. Great with Pad Thai.
