Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Domaine de la Pépière "La Pépie" 2020

Marc Ollivier’s legendary estate is now in the hands of Rémi Branger and Gwénaëlle Croix, both of whom have been involved in the making of both wines and decisions for years. Marc credits the two of them for pushing the domaine forward. Being that 2020 was their first year in charge without Marc alongside, not to mention what else was happening that year, it would be understandable if the quality of the wines dropped. Not the case. This is an exemplar of why Muscadet should be everyone’s house white- it’s crisp, possesses texture and flavor, is downright delicious, and you can probably shake out the coins in your piggy bank to buy a bottle. Pépière continues its renowned trajectory in this new era.
