In a place with millennia of wine-growing history, it’s funny that as Burgundy’s reputation and prices continue to swell it’s often the outsiders doing the most interesting work. Jérôme Galeyrand is one such producer—originally from the Loire, he worked in the food business before catching the wine bug in Gevrey. Now, that’s home base for his eponymous domaine.
His Aligoté represents everything we love about Burgundy’s “other” white variety.
