Ross Cobb is one of California's most revered winemakers of Pinot Noir. His parents, David and Diane, planted Cobb Wines' first estate vineyard, Coastlands, in 1989 and promptly made a name for the site by selling the fruit to Williams Selyem in 1992.
Ross started his career at Williams Selyem, then moved into a winemaking position at Flowers. He made wines for Hirsch Vineyards for some years before Jasmine fully took over her family's domaine.
He started his own family's brand back in 2001, and now focuses exclusively on Cobb Wines, producing wines from estate vineyards like Coastlands and Doc's Ranch. Ross is going to show off his current releases of four wines at the Wine Shop, then we'll walk over for dinner at the Restaurant. Taste mature vintages of the same four wines out of magnum with two courses from Chef Edwin.
