(11/16) Monday World Tour: Madeira
Just in time for the start of the holiday season, Monday World Tour returns to one of Matt's favorite topics: Madeira.
This is America's favorite wine. Or was—in the 18th century! Find out how this fortified wine from a towering isle 600 miles off the coast of Africa made its way around the world, and why our forebearers thought this Portuguese juice was the bee's knees.
We'll sip our way through 8 fantastic wines, including rare frasqueira (vintage) versions, as we discover Madeira from B(oal) to V(erdelho) together.
The class price includes a small meal (of snacks you might eat in Funchal!) and 8 wines individually packaged in small vials—1 oz/per wine. (This is potent stuff.) These wines will be available for pickup starting at 4pm on Monday, November 16. The class itself will be a 1.5-hour interactive session hosted online through zoom at 6pm pst on Monday, November 16.
Please note: you will receive an email on Monday morning (November 16) with instructions and a registration link through zoom. You must register prior to joining the class!
All sales final. Must be 21 or over to purchase.
