If you've ever wanted to learn more about the world's most important fortified wine, now's your chance! The house of Niepoort has been producing Port since 1842, and Daniel represents the sixth generation of his family to make these wines. His father Dirk catapulted the rather unknown estate to stardom in this millennium, and Daniel has been Niepoort's Head Winemaker since 2021.
Dirk championed dry wines of the Douro, and Daniel is similarly steering the house in new directions with an interest in natural wine. But the foundation and core of Niepoort is Porto. Explore the entire range of Port production with Daniel and discover the differences between the numerous styles of fortified wines produced in the Douro today. You'll taste an arc of three decades of aging in both cask-aged (Tawny) Port and bottle-aged (vintage) Port.
Don't miss this!
