When we first tasted this wine our minds went to figure skating- specifically a powerful figure skater moving fast into a twisting, spiraling, graceful jump. Kristi Yamaguchi anyone? How? It’s the way the wine glides across the palate, but its musculature doesn’t drag. Instead, it goes from leesy and textural to crisp and elongated in an instant. Complex, delicious, vivacious Chenin from a fully southern-facing vineyard in Montlouis (across the Loire from more famous Vouvray) and intellectual husband-and-wife growers Coralie and Damien Delechenau.
